The National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) has opened their action figure vault and found long-lost treasures from the past that fans may have missed during their first run. This warehouse action figure find of the year (sorry, Star Wars) includes limited-edition 1/4 scale figures from Batman, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and more.
Whether this is a true "find" of just the opportunity to take advantage of renewed interest in the Horror franchises in order to unburden unsold items doesn't really matter. What matters is that this is the time for those who have kicked themselves for missing out on the first issue of such collectable items.
The Halloween 1/4 Scale Action Figure of Michael Myers is from the 2018 film of Halloween, Face Your Fate when Laurie Strode confronts her long-time foe, Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. Although, there is little to suggest that this figurine is any different from the original 1978 version other than the date stamp. This is Michael Myers return to NECA’s 1/4 scale action figure line. This Michael stands over 18" tall, with over 25 points of articulation and plenty of accessories. The figure comes with knife, hammer, and a victim’s head. This is a menacing addition to any collection, but especially to the ones that feature such niche collectables as these.
From Nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warriors (30th Anniversary) comes a 1/4 Scale action figure of Freddy. This representation of Freddy Krueger stands 18” tall and features gruesome details, like interchangeable heads and chests to recreate different parts of the movie. You can swap out his regular sweater front to display the tortured spirits trapped in his Chest of Souls or switch up his regular “evil Freddy” head with a “crucifix head” with light piping effect. He’s equipped with over 25 points of articulation and comes in collector-friendly deluxe window box packaging for those who like to display both in package and out.
These limited-edition items will go on sale Tuesday, November 15 at 8:00am PST/11:00am EST and will only be found at The NECA Store. This run of lost figures will sell out quickly, so be sure to grab yours before they're gone. NECA is a leading creator, marketer, and global distributor of licensed consumer products based on some of the world’s most recognizable movies, video games, comic books, and pop culture.
