If you're in Austin, Texas, then I encourage you to join the Alamo Draft House at the top of The Bloc on Thursday, July 12th for a rooftop screening of the acclaimed 2017 smash hit I, Tonya, where legendary Tonya Harding will be live and in person for a Q&A.
That’s not all: this one-night-only event will be preceded by a live performance from Los Angeles based Ray Little, an eclectic, indie band lead by Lauren Little, former front woman of Queen Caveat plus members of various LA bands such as Mondo Cozmo. The night of music is brought to you by ALT 987fm's Close To Home and curated/hosted by ALT's Tobi Lynn.
If you know the movie, then you know it's an excellent example of the best the movie industry had to offer in 2017. And if you know anything about Tanya Harding, then you know a Q&A with her is bound to be lively, exciting, and controversial no matter what your opinion may be of the dubious event in question that plays as the main plot point in I, Tonya. This promises to be an eventful night.
And don't forget the venue. The Draft House is one of the most unique movie venues, designed for the serious, yet fun loving movie-goer who loves a good night of food, drinks and a movie all in one place. More than just a venue, the Draft House schedules many unusual events with special guests through out the year. Be sure to check out their calendar and make note of future screenings. In the mean time, enjoy Oscar nominated I, Tonya in the company of the actress who plays the main figure on which the plot rests. I'm sure it will be a memorable evening.
