The Golden Globes Foreign-Language Nominees series will be playing at the Egyptian and Aero Theaters in Los Angeles, January 1 - 6, 2018. Discover the best of foreign-language cinema during a week of special screenings of the nominated films. Then join the American Cinematheque for a FREE panel discussion with the filmmakers of the five nominees at the Egyptian Theatre on Saturday, January 6th. Each film will screen the week leading up to the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 7, when the winner of the prized statue will be announced live. The nominees were announced recently, so the schedule is being built as the announcement is being made. Details will be posted soon. The nominees are: A Fantastic Woman (Chile); First They Killed My Father (Cambodia); In the Fade (Germany/France); Loveless (Russia); The Square (Sweden). Filmmakers in attendance for the Symposium include: Fatih Akin, Angelina Jolie, Sebastian Lelio, Ruben Östlund and Andrey Zvyagintsev. The discussion will be moderated by film editor and CEO of London’s Protagonist Pictures, Mark Goodridge.
